Arun Divakaruni, PhD has over a decade of experience providing high-level counsel to diverse clients, including biopharmaceutical, medical device companies, academic and professional associations, research consortia, teaching hospitals, analytical instrument manufactures, and clean technology companies.
He has a deep range of expertise across a number of different therapeutic areas, particularly oncology. Arun has consulted with companies on more than 20 drug approvals in the United States and European Union on issues ranging from scientific/medical marketing, pricing strategy and crisis/issues mitigation. He also has deep experience in building cross-functional consensus on corporate, brand and scientific positioning and messaging through dynamic workshops and presentations.
Arun’s marketing and communications work has won numerous awards, including several Clios. In 2016, Divakaruni was named U.S. health innovation leader for Weber Shandwick and was recognized by PR Week as one of the recipients of the annual 40 under 40 awards.
Arun received a Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from UCLA where he studied target discovery for novel antimicrobials and published in high impact journals, including The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.. He holds a bachelors degree in molecular, cell and developmental biology from the same institution.
