Matthew Provenzano grew up in Saginaw, Michigan and attended Valparaiso University where he graduated with honors. He completed medical school at Johns Hopkins University and then travelled to Iowa City for residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. In addition to his otolaryngology training, he completed a two-year research fellowship, securing extramural funding from the American Academy of Otolaryngology. He served as the chief resident. Matthew then completed a pediatric otolaryngology fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital – the largest pediatric airway center in the world. Matthew currently works
at Franciscan Healthcare where he serves as the director of their cochlear implant program. He is the author of 19 peer reviewed articles, multiple book chapters, and has presented at multiple international meetings. He is a major in the United States Air Force reserve where he serves as a flight surgeon in the 434 AMDS at Grissom Air Reserve Base, Indiana.
Matthew joined MD Angels in 2017 and has invested in multiple healthcare startups.
